GENERAL QUESTIONS

Who is the contact for wholesale inquiries?

Who is eligible to purchase artwork wholesale?
Retailers with a valid reseller's permit or resale certificate are eligible. This includes both online and brick and mortar retailers. All wholesalers must complete the online application to receive wholesale login information and a copy of our wholesale catalog.

How do I view your wholesale prices?
After entering your wholesale login information, click the Wholesale Pricing page in the submenu to the left. As new works are released, the online Wholesale Pricing page is updated and new price sheets are posted for download. Please note: pricing on this page does not include shipping costs which are billed separately.

How do I place an order?
After entering your wholesale login information, click the Wholesale Resources page in the submenu to the left. Please complete the Wholesale Order Form on this page.

What are your order minimums?
$240 opening orders | $120 repeat orders

Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Please see the Wholesale Order Form for details.

What are the invoicing terms?
Orders must be prepaid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). Credit terms are available upon request.

What is your standard fulfillment time?
Average order fulfillment time is 7-14 days for stocked items and 14-21 days for custom and made-to-order items. Upon receipt of your order, you will receive an order confirmation and estimated shipping date via e-mail. You will then have 2 business days to respond if you wish to cancel the order. Please note: fulfillment time may fluctuate based on our art fair schedule and the order size.

Who is responsible for shipping costs?
Retailers are responsible for shipping costs. Standard shipping is FedEx Ground with direct signature requirement.

Can you estimate shipping charges?
Upon request by a retailer, we can provide a ballpark shipping estimate. With the variability of our products, sizes, and fluctuating gas prices, shipping costs may vary. To keep costs low and maintain greener standards, we also use recycled cardboard to build custom boxes for many shipments. Thereby, it can be difficult to establish standard shipping profiles. For the large BOX PRINT reproductions (dimension 40 inches or larger), oversize charges may apply, adding $50-$75 to the total shipping charges. However, we do our best to pack each order as compactly and safely as possible. Most orders are packaged in house by professional art handlers.

Why FedEx?
Our insurance will only cover orders shipped via FedEx. We have been shipping artwork for many years and, after dealing with several companies, we have found FedEx to be the safest and most reliable handler of artwork.

What is your return policy?
We do not accept returns or exchanges. It is our hope that our low wholesale minimums encourage orders from new retailers still familiarizing themselves with our products.

What happens if an order is damaged during transit?
All shipments are insured and we handle all transit-related damage claims. If an order has arrived in damaged condition, please contact us immediately. Please keep all original packaging materials on hand for return shipment of the order. All work kept beyond 2 business days without notification is assumed to be delivered safely and is considered a final sale.

Do you offer expedited shipping?
Whenever possible, we offer expedited shipping. Please note your request for express shipping under the Special Instructions field on the Wholesale Order Form. As with all orders, we will confirm the estimated shipping date and note whether or not we can offer expedited shipping when we confirm the order via e-mail. Express shipping charges are the retailer’s responsibility.

Do I have to follow the suggested retail prices?
We strongly prefer that retailers follow the suggested retail prices. It is our belief that price uniformity contributes to greater customer satisfaction, especially with unique art items.

How often do you release new wholesale catalogs??
Our goal is to produce two catalogs each year, one for the spring and one for the fall. All active wholesale accounts will receive new catalogs in the mail unless we’re directed otherwise.

What about new product offerings that become available between catalogs?
All active wholesale accounts will be subscribed to our wholesale e-mail newsletter. As new products are released, they will be announced in the e-mail newsletter. The Wholesale Pricing page and price sheets will also be updated to reflect these new art offerings.

Do you offer any promotional incentives?
All retailers are listed as Dolan Geiman partners on our Locator page and Daily Dolan Geiman blog. Retailers also have access to various promotional tools to assist with PR and marketing efforts on the Wholesale Resources page including a regularly updated blog PR list with décor, design, eco, family, and indie themed blogs.

Do you offer drop shipment?
Drop shipment is available for all BOX PRINT reproductions. paper prints, and DG MINIs. Retailers are also welcome to discuss drop shipment of available original mixed media, especially original works retailing for $1000+. We do not charge packaging or drop shipment fees to encourage drop shipment with online retailers.

Do you offer exclusive lines, collections, or editions?
Qualified retailers may request exclusive BOX PRINT, Paper Print, Panel Painting, or DG MINI editions. Store exclusives require a significant order minimum for consideration.

Do you offer wholesale pricing on your original artwork?
Yes, wholesale pricing is available on all artwork. See the Original Mixed Media section below for more information about ordering original artwork.

BOX PRINT® reproductions on wood

What are BOX PRINT reproductions?

Are BOX PRINT reproductions produced in limited edition?
Yes, each BOX PRINT version is printed in an edition of 750.

I want to be able to show clients other available BOX PRINT editions. How should I do this?
Our bi-annual catalog is a great way to show customers other available Dolan Geiman products. Between catalogs, new BOX PRINT editions will be posted continuously to the Wholesale Pricing page and under the "New Releases" section of the Wholesale Resources page. For single BOX PRINT orders, the average turnaround time is 5-7 days. For custom-sized BOX PRINT reproductions, average turnaround time is 10-14 days. Please call or e-mail before ordering if you have specific time constraints and we'll do our best to accommodate the order.

Do you have a BOX PRINT reproduction overview sheet to give to customers?
Yes, please see the BOX PRINT reproduction overview sheet on the Wholesale Resources page. Because of the uniqueness of these reproductions, we strongly advise that retailers make this information available to both staff and customers.

What if a client loves the Box Prints, but wants an original work?
Most of the original works translated into BOX PRINT reproductions are sold. However, we'd love to help you sell other available originals to the client. Available originals are posted and regularly updated in our online shop. Customers may also commission a new work in an Original Media Collection at any time. For more information, see the Original Mixed Media section below below.

PANEL PAINTINGS

What are Panel Paintings?

Do you create multiples of the Panel Paintings?
Each Panel Painting is hand-printed and one-of-a-kind with variations, though sometimes subtle, between each Panel. Multiples of each Panel Painting theme are created with no limitations on the edition size.

When I place an order, how do I select which Panel Paintings I want?
We have found the most successful way to wholesale the Panel Paintings is to make the selections ourselves, selecting the best assortment of Panel Paintings from our current inventory. We include Panel Paintings that have proven to be consistent sellers across the country with our current retailers. Retailers are welcome to add notes to help us with our selections, such as customer demographic, brand identity, store focus, or favorite Panel Painting themes. These notes can be listed under the Special Instructions field on the Wholesale Order Form. We'll keep these suggestions in mind as we make our selections. For future orders, if there is a particular theme that is a strong seller for your retail location, please keep us informed and we'll do our best to include those panel themes in future orders.

Where do I find the Panel Painting themes?
The Panel Paintings page of our website is regularly updated to reflect current Panel Painting themes. While all themes on the page are currently being produced, they may or may not be in stock. As such, we cannot always accommodate requests for a specific theme.

What is the minimum order for Panel Paintings?
Our order minimum is $240. This is equivalent to one dozen Panel Paintings. Most retailers have found that the Panel Paintings sell the best when there is a hearty selection of Panels to choose from in the store. Customers like to mix and match to create wall sets and an assortment of Panels is key to this process.

What is the recommended display method?
Panel Paintings are best displayed in a browsing bin rather than hanging them individually on the wall. Again, this recommendation is based on feedback from stores as well as customers.

How do customers hang the Panel Paintings?
Panel Paintings are pre-drilled with a hole on the back side of the Panel. This hole allows a customer to hang the Panel off a nail or screw.

Are Panel Paintings considered Prints?
Panel Paintings include a hand-painted background and a key image that is hand-printed using the silk screen process. We encourage our retailers to market the Panel Paintings as small paintings, versus prints, to distinguish the works from digitally-produced fine art reproductions or giclees. Each Panel Painting is one-of-a-kind, handmade, signed, and dated. Multiples are made of each Panel Painting theme. However the background colors and compositions will fluctuate from piece to piece. No two panels will be exactly alike, only similar. New themes are introduced regularly to keep inventory new and appealing to repeat customers. The Panel Paintings page of our website is regularly updated to reflect the current selection of available Panel Painting themes.

RESCUED WOOD CONSTRUCTIONS

Do you create multiples of the Rescued Wood Constructions?
Rescued Wood Constructions are available in a variety of collections, such as the Songbird and Great Dane collections. The collection type applies to the acrylic and silk screen cutout that is the focal point for each Construction. While multiple Constructions are produced in each collection, each Rescued Wood Construction is one-of-a-kind, made from a unique selection of salvaged wood and found objects.

When I place an order, how do I select which Rescued Wood Constructions I want?
There are two ways to purchase Rescued Wood Constructions.

1. Available Rescued Wood Constructions
Retailers may peruse the current selection of available Rescued Wood Constructions in our online shop and purchase available Constructions with a wholesale discount (detailed on the Wholesale Pricing page). Each available Construction's product description includes the collection name and inventory ID; list the collection, inventory ID, and wholesale price on the order form. From time to time, specific Rescued Wood Constructions are discounted in the Sale section of our online shop. If an available Rescued Wood Construction is on sale, please contact for wholesale pricing or simply leave the field blank on the order form and we'll confirm the total with the order confirmation e-mail.

2. Made-to-order Rescued Wood Constructions
With this option, retailers do not hand-pick individual Rescued Wood Constructions but instead purchase a made-to-order set of Rescued Wood Constructions. On the Wholesale Order Form, write the desired collections (such as Songbird and Trophy Deer) and quantity for each made-to-order Construction. The minimum order for made-to-order Construction sets is 2. Retailers may opt for two of the same collection or a combination of two different collections. Specific requests for the made-to-order Rescued Wood Construction sets can be submitted in the Special Instructions field on the Wholesale Order Form. Retailers are also welcome to send a separate e-mail with more detailed comments. Please keep in mind that while our goal is to best facilitate your requests, these are still handmade, one-of-a-kind artworks and they will contain their own nuances which make them unique from mass produced products.

ORIGINAL MIXED MEDIA

Where do I view available originals? Are these available for wholesale purchase and, if so, what is the price?

Please explain the Original Mixed Media Collections.
Similar to the Rescued Wood Constructions, there are two ways to order Original Mixed Media works: by purchasing available work(s) in the online shop or by placing an order for made-to-order works in our many Original Mixed Media Collections. All works in these collections are slightly different, each work with unique recycled materials, colors, or vintage papers. However, the works in each collection are similar in overall template and composition. Because each work is hand-built and original, retailers should not expect to receive the exact same work as the provided samples, but a work which is similar in layout and theme.

How do I order available and/or made-to-order works?
1. Available Mixed Media
Review the following sections in the online shop: Original Mixed Media, Mixed Media Collections, Original Framed Works. Using the Wholesale Order Form, note the collection/title and wholesale price of the works you wish to order. Wholesale pricing is explained on the Wholesale Pricing page.

2. Made-to-order Mixed Media Collections
Review available Mixed Media Collections on the website. Specify the collection’s inventory number and name on the Wholesale Order Form. Use the Special Instructions field to help guide the production of your Mixed Media Collection piece or send us an e-mail with more thorough instruction. Please keep in mind that while our goal is to best facilitate your requests, these are still handmade, one-of-a-kind artworks and they will contain their own nuances which make them unique from mass produced products.

Should I pursue commissions of Original Mixed Media Collections with my customers?
Yes. One of the main purposes for developing the Original Mixed Media Collections is to provide a body of works that can be ordered and tailor-made at any time. Paint colors, fabric swatches, digital pictures of the home or commercial interior, and measurements are encouraged.

DG MINIs

What are DG MINIs?

Do you create multiples of the DG MINIs?
Yes, each DG MINI is reproduced in an open edition. Open-edition works are not limited to a specific edition size and will be available to retailers until we decide to retire the image.

Are the DG MINIs ready-to-hang?
Yes, DG MINIs include a pre-drilled hole for hanging on a nail or screw. DG MINIs also work well propped upright on desks, shelves, and mantels.

PAPER PRINTS

What are paper prints?

Do you create multiples of the paper prints?
Yes, each paper print is produced in a limited edition of 100 or 250.

How are your paper prints packaged?
Our paper prints are shipped flat with a foam core backing and clear bag. Each print includes an insert with a short bio and information about the print edition (title, edition size, print size, etc). The print insert does not include any sort of contact information for Dolan Geiman.
